Jakarta, Indonesia – 29 October 2025 – EDGE DC, a Digital Edge company, today announced that its flagship facility, EDGE2, has officially achieved LEED Gold Certification, a globally recognized benchmark for sustainable building design and operations.
Located in central Jakarta, EDGE2 is a 23 MW carrier-neutral data center designed to support Indonesia’s rapidly growing digital economy. The EDGE2 leed gold certification reflects EDGE DC’s commitment to integrating sustainability into its infrastructure strategy—delivering high-performance services while minimizing environmental impact.
LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) is the world’s most widely adopted green building rating system, developed by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). Achieving LEED Gold means EDGE2 meets rigorous standards in energy efficiency, water conservation, indoor environmental quality, and sustainable construction. For data centers, this certification signals a strong alignment with global ESG frameworks and provides tangible benefits to customers, including reduced carbon footprints and improved energy performance.
“EDGE2’s LEED Gold certification is a strategic milestone that reflects our platform-wide ESG commitments,” said Naz Ghouse, ESG Director at Digital Edge. “We are proud to deliver infrastructure that not only meets the performance demands of our customers but also contributes to a greener digital future across Asia.”
EDGE2 incorporates advanced cooling systems, optimized Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE), smart water management, and environmentally responsible materials—all designed to reduce operational emissions and support clients with sustainability goals and reporting requirements.
“EDGE2 was built to serve the future of Indonesia’s digital infrastructure—secure, scalable, and sustainable,” said Stephanus Oscar, CEO of EDGE DC. “This certification validates our approach and strengthens our ability to support customers who prioritize environmental responsibility alongside performance.”
EDGE DC remains committed to advancing its ESG strategy in Indonesia. Future efforts will focus on expanding green building certifications, integrating energy-efficient technologies, and collaborating with local stakeholders to promote sustainable digital infrastructure development.
